I can help

I’ve had years of practice explaining technical stuff in plain English across law enforcement, aviation, commonwealth and local government, and not-for-profit.

Do you need someone to:

  • research and deep dive into new subjects?
  • analyse data in partnership with subject matter experts?

I’ve produced a range of technical writing including briefing and consultation material, executive reports, user manuals, reports, policies and procedures and case studies.

If you want to know a little more about my background check me out on LinkedIn

To ensure concise, engaging, and persuasive content for your audience I check:

  • the level of assumed knowledge and the use of jargon (if you can’t move away from jargon maybe you can include a glossary to educate and inform?)
  • usability when proof-reading and editing, including overall structure and organisational style.

Ask me when it make sense to deviate from purely literal terms and use figurative language to help make foreign concepts familiar and graspable?

Let me tell you how kilograms became cases of beer for one audience, and briefcases for another!
